3 Amigos Crossing Madeira

Before moving to Lisbon, I set myself three goals: finish my degree, learn how to surf and cross Madeira on foot.

This project documents the completion of one of them.

Shot on my grandparents' MiniDV camcorder, the film follows three friends crossing the island from coast to coast. Half of the footage was lost when one of the tapes was damaged, but the remaining recordings became a visual diary of a journey that meant far more than the final destination.
